yeehaaa, finally in erbil.
check in at 4 a.m., so 140 dollar for 3 hours of sleep.
i even got the suite. all singles are full, mister spyra.
i accepted, reluctantly of course.
thanks god this is an assignment…
when i opened my bag, the smell of nice iatalian coffee came into my nostrils
and i had to discover that all my little coffeebag has exploded somewhere between düsseldorf and erbil.
well, i guess i’ll have 10 days of sandy socks here.
luckyly it wasn’t the fishfilets that i brought as well…
off to sleep.
tomorrow i catch up with malte from geo and we start to work.
noc.

500g of finest coffee. what a waste.

damn.flight left late and i missed my connecting flight to erbil.
24h in istanbul. tk pays for 4 stars. so, well, not the worst thing to happen, but still one day less of shooting time in iraq.
wow, pretty much amazed by the imagequality of the mamiya6′ 50mm lens!
6×6 just looks gorgeous!
the ’6′ is on the way to iraq with me to potray the disappearing christian community over there…
together with two babyphones for a friend of mine in erbil.
can’t wait to see the xray guys opening my backpack, staring at all the cables and two headphones…

found some time to scan some of my bosnia negs from 2011.
all from the drina valley.

Mono, the bookproject of Gomma Magz is about to come out and i’m very happy and honored that my bosnian project ‘Echoes and memories’ will be part of it!

just got my holga lens for my nikon slr.
funny little thing. 12 million high-tech pixels versus 38g of plastic.
it makes some strange effects (even for a holga) in the corners.
cool vignetting looks definetly different and 60mm on 120film looks better than on 35mm.
so much for the review part…
here are some images from a walk in the woods…
